What's new in version 8.0

IMPORTANT! This is a major update.

We have added advanced audio player technology which includes two great new features: stereo pan (left/right) and group audio channels. Both can be found in audio channel settings window.
Advanced audio player works on macOS 10.13 or later. If you will experience any problems with advanced audio player you can turn it off in Options menu (untick Use Advanced Audio Player and restart the app).

App can now extract metadata from media files (if file contains metadata of course). So we have added Now Playing window where you can see info about the last playing channel. You can also select an output folder in which info text file and artwork png image file will be written. You can use this data in other apps, for example Audio Hijack. We have also added channel setting to display artwork inside channel play button.

We have added display mode setting for video and image channels: fit screen - aspect ratio is preserved, fill screen - content will fill the whole screen.

We have added Live Input functionality. You will find it under View menu. Live Input can capture audio (microphone) and video (camera) and plays it on speakers and external display. No it does not record the input, it just plays it.

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to send a midi code from my iPad to my lighting software on my WIndows laptop? If so, then how would I set it up? Do I need a midi dongle for my laptop? My software is ShowXpress, and under Midi in it has options for Device, Channel, Type, Data, and Control. Any guidance would be appreciated as I have never used Midi before.

Does this work for schools?

I would provision it through Mosyle after first purchasing the paid version of the app through Apple School Manager. I don't know if I'd need it on more than 2 iPads, but I wanted to ask first, just in case. I see that you can use it on multiple devices if you're signed in with the same Apple id, but will it recognize the school as a user on multipe devices if they're not, technically, signed into an Apple ID?

Hi everyone

I have created a show with Mix16ShowCue app v3.2 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1.

I have exported it into one folder on Desktop and can see all the media and the .mix16sc file. All my devices are synced via iCloud.

When I go to my iPad Pro (OS 18.0.1) and browse with the Files app I can see the same folder- and I have used "Download now" too.

Now when I open Mix16 Show Cue v3.2. on iPad and try importing from the same folder, all the files are greyed out- including the .mix16sc file.

I tried using the advice here about moving the whole folder from the desktop on iPad into "On my iPad" - "Mix16Cue" folder and into "Media", but the Import feature still did not work. The only way I could achieve partial success was by moving the .mix16sc file into the Projects folder... and THEN ShowCue DID give me the option to import it... but all the lilnks to the media files were (understandably) now broken.

HOWEVER.... I have just tested this part and it works fine: I can export from one Mac into a project folder and can import the project on another Mac (same account, same OS). What I was anticipating was somehow the project mix16sc file would have an icon or be lit up as the active file. this does not happen- just browse to the project folder, click "open" and the project WILL import onto the other Mac.

Is there something I am missing in my workflow? Ideally I would like to create the complete show on my Mac, as I have other audio editing software I use, then export it and then import it and run the show off my iPad.

Many thanks in advance as always.

Pourquoi dans "single playback mode" ne pas introduire des onglets pour permettre des exceptions ce qui autoriserait par exemple d'avoir différente lumières sur le défilement d'une musique

Why in "single playback mode" not introduce tabs in the playlist to allow exceptions in playback which would allow for example to have different lights to launch on the scrolling of a single song... or maybe there is a solution and I don't know it.

Thanks
