I might be a good addition to the software to have the option to hold the last frame of the video instead of going to a black frame. Makes it a lost easier to work complicated shows.

External Display Overscan setting not working correctly

I am having difficulty in getting the External Display Overscan setting to work properly. The default setting always gives me a black border around my videos when they play, so they are not filling the screen entirely. I can change the setting to NONE, and follow the instructions to restart the app and reconnect the external display, and can get it to work temporarily, but the setting never seems to remain. The next time I open the app and connect the external display, the black border is back, even though the setting still says NONE.

Can anyone help?

Hi, I'm using "iMix16 Band", works great, BUT -- the first 10ms or so of a soundfile will always "fade in" or not play at all, requiring me to add ~10ms of silence to sound files. It's a workaround, but it adds even more latency to my setup, which is MIDI triggered as it is so even more latency!

For example, a soundfile starting with a transient like a bass kick drum -- you will not hear the attack if the soundfile starts with the kick drum. If it's after a 10ms delay, it kicks.

Is iMix adding a fade-in to playback start to avoid pops or something like that? Any chance we can turn that off?

We have different sound people who need to interact with our apps. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM has to spend $5 of their own money in order to get the remote app. This is just feels like a money-grab by the developer of an incredibly useful set of apps. The remote shouldn't cost more.

Please make the remote app free.

Mix 16 Pro setup file not saving!?

Hi,

I’ve been using mix 16 pro on my macbook pro 17” for over a year now with excellent results!

Last weekend however it refused to save the setup file! I had to force quit it to get out of the program as it just hung! I therefore lost all the associations i had made and the playlist i had created. I tried this several times with the same results. i managed to get to save if i only updated the associations (video and image file references); as soon as i updated the playlist it hung again and refused to save forcing a force quit again.

I have ensured that i have the latest update, but it still does this. I’m trying to get something ready for church tomorrow but to no avail so far!

I am running the latest OSX (El Capitan).

HELP PLEASE!!?

Chaser Light FX in ShowCue

Hi! First of all - I love the software. We ran an entire Two Person show with audio and light cues from an iPad with a Bluetooth midi controller. Worked perfectly!

now for our next show in October I was wondering if it was possible to program a chase light Effect. (So basically playing a few light-scenes after each other on repeat)

for example:

step 1: red lights on for 1 second
step 2: blue lights on for 1 second
step 3 green lights on for 1 second
repeat

Is this possible with the current version? And if not - will this feature be included in future updates?

working in different spaces, sometimes the fixtures are plugged in a different way compared to the project; It could be a good idea the possibility to change the dmx output on each lighting channel (e.g. lighting channel 1 to dmx out 512)

I am considering the purchase of Mix16 Pro and have tested Mix16 Go. A couple of questions arise:

I cannot seem to maximize the screen while inserting and editing cues.

What is the volume setting for in the Cue editor. Setting it stop any audio from playing (as opposed to leaving it blank). Is there a reason for this?

Does the Pro version allow for moving up as well as down a playlist?

When setting the last cue to "end" mode, the playlist goes up to the first cue and plays instead of stopping the project.

Finally, why is there no manual on the operation of the program? Searching your forums or submitting requests is a time resource hog.

I have an iPad Air running IOS 16.6.1. I have several .mp3 files loaded on channels and they all play, but one. It is a voice recording I made on Voice Memos. It will play when my audio adapter is not plugged in, but will not play when it is plugged in. As I mentioned all other channel play fine. Any ideas? I have show on Friday - Nov. 3rd.

Output Mix16Pro 24 discrete Dante channels on a Mac with Dante Virtual Soundcard

I want to output Mix 16Pro 24 discrete Wav files to Dante Virtual Soundcard on a mac running that DVS, Mac OS 12.3.1. The far no success. Has anybody done this? I can only select dante Output from the app, no Dante channels are avail within the app.

Using a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter, I have been successfully using the PKnight Artnet to DMX Node ($69.99) to control my lighting rig with Mix16 Pro. I have used this with a direct connection as well as through a router. All that was required to connect was to manually adjust the IP Address, Subnet mask and router on the Thunderbolt connection in "Settings:Network" on my Mac and they connected right up. You do have to make sure that the Thunderbolt connection is set at the primary (top) connection. Below are the detailed steps I used.

1. Connect your Mac to the PKnight Node via an Ethernet cable (I used a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter)

2. Connect the PKnight Node to your DMX device(s)

3. On the PKnight Node, press the menu button until you see the IP Address

3. On your computer, go to Settings > Network. You should see the connection in the left panel of the window. Make sure this connection is at the top of the list. (you may have to Unlock to make changes)

4. From the dropdown menu (will probably say DCHP) select "Manually"

5. Create a similar IP Address as the Node (i.e. Node IP: 010.201.006.100 - create 010.201.006.101 on your computer)

6. On the PKnight Node, Press the menu button until you see the SubNet Mask. (it should read 255.000.000.000)

7. Enter the exact same Subnet Mask on your computer.

8. Finally, on your computer where it says "Router," enter the exact IP Address of the PKnight Node (ie 010.201.006.100)

9. Hit "Apply" at the bottom corner of the Network window on your computer.

10. Launch Mix16 Pro and the devices should connect momentarily. (You should see the network lights blinking on the Node next to the Ethernet port and a blue LED blinking under the DMX port on the other side. You may have to move some of the virtual faders on the Lighting panel of Mix16 Pro to send the initial signal.)

Open and Save Setup Problem

I'm have 2 problems. One is that when I go to save a Setup the app hangs at the save screen, the folder box is blank. Secondly, the I try to reopen a setup I get the following error: Mix16 PRO Error, Open setup file failed. Wrong content of the file (channels). This can sometimes happen after successfully opening the setup previously.

I have a late 2011 MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.12.5

I have tried deleting and re-installing the app.

Sorry for the bad English, but I use a traslator.

I am sound and video technician and user Mix 16 Pro and IMIX 16.
I think an excellent and above all very easy to use tool.
I use it for video projections, and play list, and I think it would be helpful if you could include a test card and also any way to change the size and shape of the image.

There are software as "vioso presenter", "resolume arena" and many more including that function that when using a video projector are very useful to make the initial settings.

It would also be interesting to be able play PPT files

support for mid bluetooth LE devices

Could you offer support for midi bluetooth LE devices?

Having midi control is in/out is a VERY useful feature (already part of iMix) but once the lightning port is used for a VGA or other video adapter there is no connectivity for a midi interface. wifi and bluetooth midi is an option and i have managed to get the iMix app working with a bluetooth-midi LE device but its not a straight forward task and it still appears as a midi device long after bluetooth has been turned off. Getting the device made available to iMix involves opening and closing other apps to enable the midi stream that iMix can then "jump" on to.

If there is anyway you could provide a midi dialogue page to select the midi device it would be useful.
It appears to me that bluetooth LE devices are connected to the ipad by the app rather than the ipad bluetooth settings page.

any info on this would be appreciated. thanks
