First off this may already exist? I am presently working on a Halloween lighting project where we develop custom DMX light controls. I am wondering how hard it would be to store the Labels, Notes .... to a file similar to what exists with the Open Fixture library import. I recently dug myself into a hole by making a 64 channel device where there was needed number of at least 3 copies within the universe. Unless I am not understanding the mapping I can not simply map to another location and keep the channel's info to the new location (Im kinda a Nooby on this). I found it really easy to map devices using the Open Fixture library with the exception of "oops I put it in the wrong channel location - getting rid of range of channels was not easy for me "one by one" via the channel editor). This is a fantastic App with a fabulous group... We are looking forward to using it more...

cue volume

sometimes I need to freely turn down the volume of the current playing cue, so I've always a midi device connected with one fader assigned to the volume master control.

It would be a good idea if the fader turns down the volume of the current playing cue, instead of the master volume; something like a "current cue volume".

working in different spaces, sometimes the fixtures are plugged in a different way compared to the project; It could be a good idea the possibility to change the dmx output on each lighting channel (e.g. lighting channel 1 to dmx out 512)

Using a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter, I have been successfully using the PKnight Artnet to DMX Node ($69.99) to control my lighting rig with Mix16 Pro. I have used this with a direct connection as well as through a router. All that was required to connect was to manually adjust the IP Address, Subnet mask and router on the Thunderbolt connection in "Settings:Network" on my Mac and they connected right up. You do have to make sure that the Thunderbolt connection is set at the primary (top) connection. Below are the detailed steps I used.

1. Connect your Mac to the PKnight Node via an Ethernet cable (I used a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter)

2. Connect the PKnight Node to your DMX device(s)

3. On the PKnight Node, press the menu button until you see the IP Address

3. On your computer, go to Settings > Network. You should see the connection in the left panel of the window. Make sure this connection is at the top of the list. (you may have to Unlock to make changes)

4. From the dropdown menu (will probably say DCHP) select "Manually"

5. Create a similar IP Address as the Node (i.e. Node IP: 010.201.006.100 - create 010.201.006.101 on your computer)

6. On the PKnight Node, Press the menu button until you see the SubNet Mask. (it should read 255.000.000.000)

7. Enter the exact same Subnet Mask on your computer.

8. Finally, on your computer where it says "Router," enter the exact IP Address of the PKnight Node (ie 010.201.006.100)

9. Hit "Apply" at the bottom corner of the Network window on your computer.

10. Launch Mix16 Pro and the devices should connect momentarily. (You should see the network lights blinking on the Node next to the Ethernet port and a blue LED blinking under the DMX port on the other side. You may have to move some of the virtual faders on the Lighting panel of Mix16 Pro to send the initial signal.)

Would be really helpful to have a thumbnail visible for each video channel. I sometimes have to do live 'switching,' and having to use clip names/numbers only is really challenging and limiting.

Audio Secondary Stock / Cue Points

I would live the facility where the sound down clock could count down to a specific point on the audio file (user definable) , but still play the complete file.

For example - if someone is talking over a music bed with singing at the end of it, a counter could count down to the point where the singing starts, and then continues to play the full file.

Is this possible ?

Hi,

Just to share here an idea: I am probably not the only one to use iMix with MIDI. That would be great if iMix could use Midi Tempo Track, especially for musicians which need a tempo track for the effects such as delay for example.

In the same time, still for musician (but probably for other use cases), if it can be possible to load a Midi file on a track, for those who wants to do automation in effects changes and so on. This means that would be great to have a new section with the ability to load midi track:).

Maybe this is only my problem, but I use Touch OSC to control MIX16PRO and also my lights and I would love to have the possibility to assign keys to different start Cues.

If it's already possible I failed to understand how.

Stop phone calling when in "On The Air" Mode

Using the "On The Air" mode for the iPad stops most interruptions, but in the current OS, if you happen to have your phone with you and someone tries to call and you don't pick up your phone, the call automatically rolls over to any iOS devices on the same WiFi network. The "On The Air" mode should also prevent this, since it changes the screen and can cause missed cues.

Sorry for the bad English, but I use a traslator.

I am sound and video technician and user Mix 16 Pro and IMIX 16.
I think an excellent and above all very easy to use tool.
I use it for video projections, and play list, and I think it would be helpful if you could include a test card and also any way to change the size and shape of the image.

There are software as "vioso presenter", "resolume arena" and many more including that function that when using a video projector are very useful to make the initial settings.

It would also be interesting to be able play PPT files

Hold last frame

I might be a good addition to the software to have the option to hold the last frame of the video instead of going to a black frame. Makes it a lost easier to work complicated shows.

Catch MIDI mode

I use iMix apps on the iPad controlled by MIDI controllers with usually up to 8 faders.
It would be great to integrate a "catch mode" so the fader won't move until the received MIDI control match with the current value on the bank. With a catch mode we could control lot more sound banks with 8 faders without any risk of dropping volumes!
