set-up load error warning: detailed description

I've noticed that if some files have been deleted or renamed the ios app pops up a warning "set up load error" (or something similar) This is obviously due to changing of some file(s). Could it be made so that the user is notified which files are unavailable? Perhaps also give the option to specify a replacement file or the option to remove any reference to this file?

thanks

follow up to the last post....

even when clearing/resetting the channels that have the "missing files" there is still a setup error message.

the only option is to make a complete new setup file which is not always convenient.

Hi,

i agree and i will do something about it.

appreciated. I've deleted everything in my setup (all channels, videos, images, etc) and saved the file as a new setup but when i open this setup-file i stll get "open setup error" warning. Will this have any affect on a live show or is it purely a warning message?

thanks again, Grega

Hi,

instead of deleting all channels, use New setup button to create new setup. This will clear all the channels 100% and then you can start creating new setup and of course save it when done.

So i suggest you delete all the setup files you don't need and create a fresh one. Note that deleting setup files will not delete any media files (audio, video or images).

Thanks that makes sense. I had done as you suggested.

in my previous attempt, I deleted all the old channels hoping to eliminate the reference to the missing file but it didn't work. There must be some "hidden" reference to missing or misplaced files.

Have you any tips for when I need to update a video file with a newer version or remove an unwanted file? (using the drag and drop method in iTunes?)

thanks again for your quick and helpful support! Appreciated :-)

If you need to update a video file simply copy new file into the app (via iTunes). You can use the same file name.
