Back-up / copy to second mac

For safety I wanted to make the same setup on a second mac so I copied the whole folder (all the files and the MIX16PRO set up file) to mac B.
When I try to open the setup file on mac B by double clicking on it I get the error message, saying:

MiX16 PRO Error
Open setup file failed. Wrong content of the file (channels).

Is it not possible to copie the setup file (a folder with all the files and the MIX16PRO set up file) to another mac?

This would be great: I can not risk failure and I'm looking for a redundant setup (hardware+software+files).

TX!

Edwin.

Hi,

yes, please use File > Import and Export functions. Export on first mac, Import on second mac. Export will copy all the channels media files into one folder and then you simply transfer this folder to second mac.

The Import/Export functions are not working when exporting from MiX16 PRO to MiX16 PRO on two different macs: the exporting program produces a iMiX type output file and the importing program refuses to read it (it is greyed out in the file browser).

- - UPDATE - -  I see now that I need to open the subdirectory that was created with the Export command.

Yes you have to select subfolder when importing exported setup.
