Import/Export not working (re-worded question)

Hi everyone

I have created a show with Mix16ShowCue app v3.2 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.0.1.

I have exported it into one folder on Desktop and can see all the media and the .mix16sc file. All my devices are synced via iCloud.

When I go to my iPad Pro (OS 18.0.1) and browse with the Files app I can see the same folder- and I have used "Download now" too.

Now when I open Mix16 Show Cue v3.2. on iPad and try importing from the same folder, all the files are greyed out- including the .mix16sc file.

I tried using the advice here about moving the whole folder from the desktop on iPad into "On my iPad" - "Mix16Cue" folder and into "Media", but the Import feature still did not work. The only way I could achieve partial success was by moving the .mix16sc file into the Projects folder... and THEN ShowCue DID give me the option to import it... but all the lilnks to the media files were (understandably) now broken.

HOWEVER.... I have just tested this part and it works fine: I can export from one Mac into a project folder and can import the project on another Mac (same account, same OS). What I was anticipating was somehow the project mix16sc file would have an icon or be lit up as the active file. this does not happen- just browse to the project folder, click "open" and the project WILL import onto the other Mac.

Is there something I am missing in my workflow? Ideally I would like to create the complete show on my Mac, as I have other audio editing software I use, then export it and then import it and run the show off my iPad.

Many thanks in advance as always.

Hi,

don’t worry if the files are greyed out, this is normal. Just tap Open (top right in import dialog window). You are importing folder not files. Just make sure you are inside the folder in which you exported project (where media and mix16sc files are).
