Minimum Mac and OS X requirements?

I use MiX16 PRO on my 2012 Mac Mini 2.5 GHz i5 with OS X 10.10.5, works great with no issues at all. I recommended the app to a friend, but I guess I should have checked requirements first. He purchased the app, but it's not working. I'm not sure if it's his MacBook Pro. I'm not sure exactly sure what model but it's a Core 2 Duo running 10.7 Lion, that's as far as he can upgrade, it will not go to 10.8 Mountain Lion, so it must be a 2006 MacBook Pro as the 2007 models can upgrade to the latest OS X.

So... should it work under 10.7? Or is there another problem?

It looks like the latest versions of MiX16 PRO, GO and PLAY do not work well on older macOS like 10.10.5 (Yosemite). Aldo App Store allows download i would not recommend using the latest versions on older macOS. We will check if there is something we can do, otherwise new system requirements will be aplied to the next release.

on Mac OS10.10.5 (Yosemite) and Mix16 V8.2 : the "Play-Range" seems not to work correctly!!

changing start-time does work, but the end-time does not work... (the file always goes to its real end and does not stop at the wished time)

the little play-ball that should move with the playback does not move !!

elapsed and remaining time do not show up correctly !!

Hi,

minimun requirements are  OS X 10.8 or later, 64-bit processor. It is strange that App Store allowed app to be bought and installed on OS X 10.7. Please tell a friend to ask for a refund or buy a newer MAC :)).

IMPORTANT - it looks like on OS X 10.8 MiX16 PRO does not work well. It should, but maybe Apple changed something (not on OS X 10.8 but in development engine and frameworks).
I suggest using OS X 10.10 or 10.11 (the latest) if possible.
