Latency with midi trigger

I am using Show Buddy v1.5.3 as a midi trigger for video in MiX16 PRO on my MacBook Pro. The audio in Show Buddy triggers a DMX lighting rig and we use the video from Mix16 PRO to show the video that should be synced.

The latency is inconsistent.  Sometimes the audio from Show Buddy will sync perfectly with Mix16 and sometimes it is off by about .35 seconds.

Show Buddy is run on Mac Mini Late 2014 8 GB ram 2.8 ghz processor.  No apps or wifi is running except show buddy.  MiX16Pro is run on a Mid 2009 MacBook Pro 8 GB ram and 2.26 ghz processor.  The computers are connected using an ethernet cable and the audi midi set up tool.

Hi,

if the latency is inconsistent it means it has to do something with connection. Because midi engine used in MiX16 APPS is default Apple midi engine and it works great. Can't speak for other users but in my case it works very well without problems and without latency. I can also say that no one reported latency problem so far. In conclusion i really don't know what to say / suggest. Sorry.
