iMiX16 crashes when loading a wav file...
Seems to also lose the previous audio files as well forcing me to reload them.

Wav file is supported and app should not crash at all.
Are you 100% sure it is wave file format?
Did you test it on computer or with other app to make sure it is not corrupted?
You can send it to me so i can check (info@mix16apps.com).
When app crashes it is not possible for it to save setup (save loaded channels and settings). That is why all channels were empty when you restarted the app.
I recommend when loading a lot of channels manually use Setup section and manually save setup to make sure you are not loosing your work.
