  • iMiX16 apps for iPadOS - Load media into channel

    To load media into channel you have three options: 1. Press channel Play button. 2. Press channel Load... label. 3. If channel is already loaded press channel Name label.

  • MiX16 apps for macOS - Hide menu bar on external display

    Newer macOS operating systems

    To hide menu bar on external display go to System Settings > Desktop & Dock, scroll down to Mission Control and untick Displays have separate Spaces option. Then log off and back on. Older macOS operating systems To hide menu bar on external display go to System Preferences > Mission Control and untick Displays have separate Spaces option. Then log off and back on.

    iMiX16 apps version 5.8 or newer support Audio Ape Remote device. To enable Audio Ape Remote go to Setup section, tap Settings button three times and enable Audio Ape Remote.   • iMiX16 apps for iPadOS - External Keyboard

    iMiX16 apps version 5.8 or newer support external keyboard. This means you can control the app with bluetooth keyboard or any other bluetooth device (pedals, remotes, …) which are able to send keyboard commands to iPad. To enable external keyboard go to Setup section, tap Settings button three times and enable External Keyboard Control. When external keyboard is enabled, current mappings apply:

    • space or return key - play next cue,
    • escape key - stop all cues,
    • up arrow key - go to previous cue,
    • down arrow key - go to next cue.

    MiX16 PRO version 3.8 or newer supports Media Monkey Remote device. To enable Media Monkey Remote go to menu Options and enable Media Monkey Remote.     iMiX16 apps can control Luminair app. You can create lighting scenes in Luminair and run those scenes from iMiX16 playlist. For each cue in playlist you can assign Luminair scene.

  • iMiX16 apps for iPadOS - Backup and restore setup via Dropbox

    iMiX16 apps allow you to backup and restore setup via Dropbox. Here is how to do it.

    Backup:

    • go to Setup section and open for example setup named “ABC”
    • tap Dropbox button
    • Dropbox window will be displayed on screen (note if you are not logged in to Dropbox, login window will open first, enter your Dropbox account information and login)
    • browse a folder where you want to backup your setup
    • tap Backup button and wait for backup process to complete (setup file with all media files will be zipped and saved to selected Dropbox folder with a same file name

    MiX16 apps for macOS version 9.0 or later have a lot of new and also some changed built-in default OSC commands.

  • FIXED - iPadOS bug loading audio files from Music library (ex iTunes library)

    This bug has been fixed in version 7.1.2 which has been released on November 6th 2019.

    Please note that there is a bug in new iPadOS. If you want to load audio file from Music library (ex iTunes library), sometimes empty window opens on screen. Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon.

    The only workaround solution for now is: - go to Setup section, - tap Settings, - change first setting Library Source from ITUNES to DOCS, - now you will be able to load audio files from app Documents folder and Dropbox.

  • iMiX16 apps for iPadOS - Audio via headphones jack, video via HDMI

    It turns out if you first connect HDMI to the iPad and then launch the iMiX16 app and lastly connect the headphones jack, the iPad routes the the sound via the headphones jack and not the HDMI cable. This was tested on iPadOS 13.2.2.

  • iMiX16 apps for iPadOS - Not enough channels for your show? No problem!

    If your show requires more channels than 16, 32 or 64 (depends which version of the iMiX16 app you have) there is one thing you can do:

    • create several projects (setups) for your show, for example: My Show 1, My Show 2, etc.,
    • in My Show 1 load any audio file into desired audio channel and then set audio channel name to "$OS=My Show 2" (without " of course),
    • when you play this audio channel, it will not play loaded audio file, but it will load project (setup) with given name - in this case My Show 2.

  • MiX16 Show Cue for iPadOS, iOS and macOS - URL scheme

    MiX16 Show Cue can also be controlled from other iPadOS and iOS apps located on the same local device using a built-in URL scheme. This "URL scheme" allows others apps to send parameters into MiX16 Show Cue either during runtime or at app launch. Note that macOS does not support URL scheme.

  • MiX16 PRO for macOS - How to play MIDI file with MIDIPlayer X

    IMPORTANT!

    • To use this feature MIDIPlayer X app must be installed and running.
    • In MiX16 PRO this feature is disabled by default. You must enabled it first. Go to menu Options > Devices and Applications and tick MIDIPlayer X.
    • Only one MIDI file can be played at a time.
    • Selected MIDI files used in playlist cues will be saved into MiX16 PRO project and will not be loaded from original locations like audio, video and image files.

    MIDIPlayer X app is available on Mac App Store.

  • MiX16 apps - Hardware for Lighting

    You can use any device that supports Art-Net protocol over ethernet. For example Showtec NET-2/5 Pocket or Enttec ODE Mk3. USB devices are not supported.

    Ziggy has created Elgato Stream Deck Profile which can be used with MiX16 GO and PRO.

    Installation Instructions Download and unzip profile file and double-click on it (Elgato software must be installed). Profile will be added to existing profiles. Or use Import feature in Elgato software. With Import feature you can also change the placeholders for the different buttons to customize the profile to fit your needs.

  • MiX16 Show Cue for iPadOS, iOS and macOS - Keyboard actions

    MiX16 Show Cue for iPadOS, iOS and macOS supports keyboard actions. This means you can control the app with internal or external keyboard or any other external device (pedals, remotes, …) which are able to send keyboard commands.

    Built-in keyboard actions for general functions:
