Audio delay feature?

I have an audio/video sync issue, that is not caused by the Mix16 app, but is caused by sending video from my iPad through an HDMI connection to a projector, and the audio through the headphone socket to an audio mixer. Due to the separate journeys the two signals take they end up being slightly out of sync, with the audio arriving earlier than the video.

Is there a way to delay the audio, by having a feature whereby you can dial in a delay in milliseconds, so that depending on your local set up you can get the audio and video to sync up perfectly when they reach their respective destinations.

Many thanks!

Hi,

sorry it looks like we missed out this post.

If you are talking about video file with audio in it, then this is not possible.
To be able to do this you would need separate audio and video files and load them both into channels with the same number (audio file into audio channel and video file into video channel) and then sync video channel with audio channel and set video channel play range start value to desired milliseconds (video channel settings).

Wanted to see if there was any updates on this. I still have audio sync issues with the audio via the iPad headphone socket arriving at my mixer earlier than the video via HDMI to my projector.

Can a delay be dialled into the audio so it syncs up with the video when they are sent separately?
