I have the Mix 16 Pro on a MacBook. Which USB MIDI fader controller works best?

Is it possible to control faders, and play, pause and stop via MIDI?

Yes it is possible. You can assign MIDI messages via MIDI Edtor tool.
But which controller is the best i can not say. It depends what you want from a controller to do. Do you need just buttons, or buttons and faders? Do buttons need to have colors so that you can see feedback from the app? Etc.

Hi,

i use AKAI APC mini. It has buttons and faders.

I am working on a midi mapping example for this device which i will post on this forum soon.
