Mix16Pro Backup Machine

I need to run a second Mix16Pro machine as live show backup.  Is there a way to fire both machines simultaneously over a network?

Hi,

you have to create MIDI session between both MACs. Both MACs must be on the same WIFI network.
Here is an article how to do it:

Then you have to setup midi mapping inside MiX16 Pro app. On computer A you have to setup MIDI OUT messages and on computer B MIDI IN messages with the same values. This means that computer A will trigger computer B.

Thanks for the assist.  I assume that the linked instructions will work the same for my wired network.  Do you have any experience with the app Octopus from Adam Sion (noismada.com) as a trigger device?

No problem. No i don't have but if it can send MIDI OUT messages over network it will work fine.

I have not tried yet, but i think wired or wireless network should work the same for MIDI session.
