Import Setup Issue - Import setup failed. Wrong content (data).

Hello all,

I'm having a problem importing a Setup. For some reason when I try to import a exported setup I receive the following error:

Mix16 PRO Error
Import setup failed. Wrong content (data).

I cannot confirm the version of the export machine, but is there any chance that the Import/Export between different versions is causing this issue?

In that case where can I obtain a older version?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply! I had two chidrens shows today and had to stay up all night to recreate a rather intricate playlist. Finished at 4 am and built the set from 8:am. :D I'm quite dead after 500 kids and 4hrs drive now. :P
So I should have looked at the logfile in order to figure out which content was in which channels?

Can you send me the log file to info@mix16apps.com first?

Hi! I have the same problem. I migrated to a new Mac. The new Mac is a clone from the old one. Folders are in the same place. All content is gone from the MiX16 Pro project. My content is scattered over multiple folders within that same folder. Is there a way to se the the names of my missing files?

Hi,

even if old mac is migrated to a new mac projects won't work because of Apple's strong system security. Before migration you need to export all your project to folders (each project is exported in its own folder which contains all the media files and project info file), store those folders to removable media and then copy to disk and import them back on a new mac.

If you are using version 9 or later go to menu View > Log File... In the log file you should see something like:

ERROR 18.05.2022 06:47:33 mxAudioChannel load 10 Error Domain=NSCocoaErrorDomain Code=4 "The file doesn’t exist." CH 1 /Users/Grega/Downloads/Intro_1.wav

mxAudioChannel - audio channel
CH 1 - channel number
/Users/Grega/Downloads/Intro_1.wav - audio file

Hope this will help restore your projects.

Hi,

strange. Older versions of the app are not available anymore. Apple does not have an option to download or buy old versions.

I suggest you send me an email to info@mix16apps.com and attach .mix16pex file from export folder and also a list or a screenshot of files inside this folder.

Regards,
Grega

Hi,

this means that not all media files (audio, video or image) are not in the same folder as import setup file. Please check this first.

Grega
