Videos randomly not playing

I am using iMix16 on a three year old iPad. It's almost perfect, but I'm having an issue where some videos will not play. At times a force quit and restart of the program will clear the issue, but the last time I tried that it corrupted my save. Is there anything I can do to help debug the no play problem?

Sorry, I have to correct my last post.

Today I tried my project from last year again with IOS 12 and I must say, Grega is right. The bug must be in an older IOS 11.

All videos, audio and images, together 49 cues are playing without any error on my iPad Pro.

Hi guys,

so what is the result?

I have no problem here and no one (else) reported this.

Grega

This is the same problem I have written to Grega 1 year ago. He told me that this was a bug during export from Mac to iPad.

In the common weeks I will create a new project and I hope, that he has fixed this bug last year with the latest update.

I’m using an original Apple HDMI connector and 1s fade in and outs. Does that take up more RAM? The issue occurs even without the connector, btw

I’ve reprocessed all of my videos to a lower resolution and it seems to help so far, but I need to test more today.

Hi,

thank you for all the information. It could be a memory issue. Are you using original Apple adapter for video and which one (HDMI or VGA)? And also are you using fade-in and out option for video transition?

You can ask Apple for a refund here: https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
But only for purchases made in the last 90 days.

Grega

Some more information for you. When I have the videos arranged in a playlist, every video after the 20th step will not load if it wasn’t played earlier in the sequence (I repeat some videos). I can share a backup of my project if it would help.

If this is a memory issue, is there any way I can get a refund for the iPad version and switch to the mac version?

It’s an iPad Air 2 running 11.4.1. I’m running all videos in single mode, btw.

Hi,

which iPad model and which version of iOS?
