What factors, within the app, determine the latency when triggering video?

I'm aware that the midi-interface itself will have its own latency, probably longer for wifi/bluetooth sent-midi than a hard-wired/connected-device. Also. i expect other applications running in ios may affect the latency time too (so for best performance everything else has been closed) How does the iMix app differ depending on amount of files being used in it, ie switching from one image/video to the midi-triggered video, etc.

I've been researching online and understand that the ipad is able to play mutlichannel-audio files (ie 5.1, or more than regular 2-channel stereo files) by means of "pass-through", which means the ipad doesn't actually output more than L+R but can pass on this data to a device that can then de-code it to the various channels.

There seem to be endless file-types for audio and video files but i'm wondering if anyone has successfully managed to get more than 2 channels of audio playback from an ipad perhaps by using some external hardware such as a surround-sound de-coder? Ultimately it

For safety I wanted to make the same setup on a second mac so I copied the whole folder (all the files and the MIX16PRO set up file) to mac B. When I try to open the setup file on mac B by double clicking on it I get the error message, saying:

MiX16 PRO Error Open setup file failed. Wrong content of the file (channels).

Is it not possible to copie the setup file (a folder with all the files and the MIX16PRO set up file) to another mac?

This would be great: I can not risk failure and

I know there is a "fade out" and "fade in" function with individual time-setttings for every video clip (channel) but is there a way to set a crossfade for when video and image playback is set to "single" mode.

I would find this very useful when running all videos in "single play" mode for smooth transition switching between videos and images. I can imagine other users would too.

re: iOS/ipad version

is there a "solo" mode whereby only one video/still-image can be played back at any one time. For example, as soon as a new image or video is enabled it halts any other image or video currently in use. It would be a useful feature and reduce the load of running multiple videos and images unnecessarily.

The Korg nano pad has 'scene selection' (scene 1,2,3, and 4). Would be great if the software follows the chosen 'scene' ,where a scene is a next tab (scene 1=button1-16, scene 2= button 17-32, etc)

We use it for live radio broadcast with a Korg nano pad, works great! A bigger up- en remain counter would be very nice. Also the ability to trim any silnce at the beginning (CUE) so on 'play' any it plays immediatly (:

I have previously purchased iMix 32 for use on an iPad.  I have recently purchased a new iPad Air and when I backed up the old iPad to iTunes the app doesn't appear in iTunes, and when I look at previously purchased apps on the new iPad it doesn't appear there either.

How do I put the app on my new iPad Air? Thanks.

Installed mix16pro both on mac mini 17 and macbook pro. Both don't work even after update. When you press new setup it just freezes. You cannot load and movie or audio into it. Only one channel appers whihc is even grayed out and whihc you cannot even click. This is very frustrating since I need this for a show. Is it possible to send an audio from a MIX 16 PRO channel trough an specific audio output?

Hi Grega,

One idea could be having the "group" feature in iMix Pro 64 (the same as iMix Band). This permit to launch at the same time several audio channel, but as well a video channel that can be grouped.

Or, in the Playlist menu, when pressing "Add Cue", being able to load more than one audio channel.

The last version support Audiobus. If I connect a compatible soundcard, is it possible to assign channels to separate outputs?

The goal is for bands, that wants to send audio backtracks  to the output connected to the Front Of House, and the click to another output for for a separate mix.

To transfer projects between devices use Import and Export Project functions. Export Project Tap file icon and choose Export Project. Dialog window will appear on screen, select iCloud Drive and desired folder (for example Downloads) and tap Open.  All necessary files (media files and project file) will be exported to desired folder in a subfolder with the name of your project. Import Project Tap file icon and choose Import Project. Dialog window will appear on screen, select iCloud Drive and browse to a folder where you exported your project. Select subfolder with the name of your project and tap Open.

MiX16 Show Cue supports keyboard actions. This means you can control the app with internal or external keyboard or any other external device (pedals, remotes, …) which are able to send keyboard commands.

Built-in keyboard actions for general functions:

• space, return (enter) or F5 - play next cue,
• escape or F6 - stop all cues,
• up arrow - set previous cue,
• down arrow - set next cue,
• F7 - rewind playing cues,
• F8 - toggle play / pause playing cues,
• F9 - fast forward playing cues,
• F10 - mute / unmute master volume,
• F11 - decrease master volume,
• F12 - increase

You can use any device that supports Art-Net protocol over ethernet. For example Showtec NET-2/5 Pocket or Enttec ODE Mk3. USB devices are not supported.

Basic setup

With this setup you can place all your hardware (router, lighting device, cables, etc.) anywhere on or off stage and freely move around with your Mac, iPad or iPhone to setup your lights.

IMPORTANT!

• To use this feature MIDIPlayer X app must be installed and running.
• In MiX16 PRO this feature is disabled by default. You must enabled it first. Go to menu Options > Devices and Applications and tick MIDIPlayer X.
• Only one MIDI file can be played at a time.
• Selected MIDI files used in playlist cues will be saved into MiX16 PRO project and will not be loaded from original locations like audio, video and image files.

MIDIPlayer X app is available on Mac App Store.

MiX16 Show Cue can also be controlled from other iPadOS and iOS apps located on the same local device using a built-in URL scheme. This "URL scheme" allows others apps to send parameters into MiX16 Show Cue either during runtime or at app launch. Note that macOS does not support URL scheme.
